Johnny and I are property virgins no longer!
Today we put an offer in on the townhouse at Turntable Crescent. After some back-and-forth our offer was accepted and now we are homeowners, conditional on the condo’s status certificate. That condition should be resolved in at most thirteen days.

Yesterday, John and I went to see more houses in the east end. We saw one that we like, 205 Hanson St. It is between Coxwell and Woodbine just south of the Danforth, so the location is killer.

So 130 Watson was sold today (see this post). Recall that the asking price was $299,900 and then watch your mind boggle when I tell you it apparently sold for $351,000. That is just insane; the house has no parking, an unfinished basement, and needs probably $50k in repairs. Sigh.
So we didn’t get 952 St. Clarens. There was another offer for $360k that took it. I don’t think the house is worth that much. I guess we’ll see if the bank disagrees, since the offer that was accepted is conditional on financing.
In any case, for Johnny and me the search must resume.
We have put an offer in for St. Clarens. It has a 24 hour turnaround so we might not know until tomorrow what happens. Today we returned to 130 Watston Ave to take a second look. The owner was there again and she answered some of our questions (such as “Where do the washer and dryer connect?” and “Where is the elecrical panel?”). I’ve added photos to the 130 Watson album of these things.
